What do B-12 participants themselves have to say? Watch this short video to find out.

We understand. Here are a few of the reasons people have given for not wanting to be a part of our recovery group.

“I don’t need your help. I can handle this.”

Yes, you can handle it. And that’s good, because B-12 doesn’t fix your problems for you. Instead, we are a force multiplier that supports you to be more effective at making the changes you desire. As long as you recognize the need to recover or to make positive change in your life, we’re here to provide as much or as little help as you need.

“I’ve heard these 12-step programs don’t work.”

If the expectation is a quick-fix, a sudden and dramatic change, then no, it won’t work… because that’s not how it works. There’s not an instant fix to cure your struggles. It is a life-long process.

Yes, it takes effort, and it takes time. But we’re here, and we’ll be with you every step of the way.

“But my situation is different. Nobody has ever had to deal with what I’m going through.”

We believe you. We don’t make assumptions about anyone’s struggles. Our group’s objective is to meet you where you are, regardless of how unique your situation happens to be. What’s important is to help you to get to where you want and need to be.

“This is affiliated with a church, but I don’t go to church. Church just isn’t my thing.”

Yes, we are sponsored by a church, one of our meetings is held at a church-owned facility, and we guide our participants with rock-solid principles of recovery based on the wisdom found in Scripture. But this isn’t Sunday morning and we’re not preaching a sermon. We listen, share, understand, and most importantly, we do what we can to help. You are welcomed here regardless of whether you go to our sponsor church, a different church, or no church at all.

“I can’t afford this.”

Yes you can. It’s free. You won’t be asked to pay, and you won’t be asked to donate.

“I come to B-12 because I haven’t got all the answers yet, and I’m not aware of all the questions. B-12 calms me down, gives me a line in the sand not to cross. What I get out of B-12 is the camaraderie, and the enjoyment, and people that are basically on the same path… we’re all fighting our demons, some are just a little less obvious than others. And with B-12, I get to learn how other people deal with their demons.

The only real demon you have to face every single day is the one in the mirror.”
